Associate Application/Desktop Support Analyst

Summary of Responsibilities

Follows best practices in IT standards and guidelines, research, analyzes applications and PC issues to meet the needs of the organization. Consults with technical leads and users to identify current operating procedures, problems, and requirements. Performs maintenance, application administration, and project task as assigned. Helps in the development of documents and procedures.

Qualified candidate must be able to communicate to staff at all levels of the organization, be comfortable with change of direction, have a desire to learn new technologies and processes, produce effective solutions, and willing to help where needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and testing of application change request and new development as directed by the lead analyst
  • Assist with application system administration
  • Assist with intranet and dashboard development
  • Assist with documenting processes and systems
  • Work with lead analyst to develop and understand requirements
  • Assist in developing automation and application interfacing
  • Protocol writing/executing
  • Assist with IT related projects
  • Performs Desktop support role
  • Use external information to research and resolve issues when needed
  • Password resets and administration of computer systems

Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer support skills
  • Knowledge of database structure, data mining and communications with DBAs
  • Knowledge of programing language structure
  • Time management skills to work on multiple issues and projects concurrently
  • Cross functional teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and proper documentation
  • Possesses analytical/problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in HIPAA security methods
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with LIS/LIMS
  • Knowledge of HL7
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Programming background with experience in the SQL, C++, Java, .Net, HTML, Crystal Reports and willingness to learn other languages as needed

Education and Experience

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or Information Technology/li>

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Information Technology
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
